Symptoms of depression and anxiety are common in those who have lung conditions, such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and Asthma.

Managing a lung condition can be tough and overwhelming, and often people find that their lifestyle has been affected. For example, the experience of breathlessness can be distressing and difficult to control, and this often leads to worry, panic, overthinking, avoidance, and withdrawal.

You are not alone. We can support you to manage your mood alongside of your lung condition. Treatments offered include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which is effective at reducing symptoms of low mood, anxiety, and other emotional problems.
