New campaign to drive community engagement for Vita’s NHS talking therapy services

Focusing on hard to reach groups and long-term conditions, the ‘You‘ campaign is designed to raise the profile of the mental health support provided in partnership with the NHS in Basildon & Brentwood, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, Calderdale, Derbyshire, Kent & Medway, Leicester and Rutland and West Essex.

Using powerful imagery that reflects target groups including emergency services, teachers, NHS staff and minority groups, and engaging messaging, the campaign will be supported by digital advertising, printed resources and packs for local GPs and surgeries. A social media campaign and promotional products for events and outreach activity also form part of the strategy.

A key component of the campaign is ease of access and British Sign Language video’s, translated leaflets and text-back options for printed materials have been introduced.

Materials to engage people who suffer from long-term health conditions have been created and focus on 12 health conditions such as stroke, heart disease and diabetes.

Mark Driver, Vita’s NHS managing director commented “Raising the profile of our NHS IAPT services within the local communities is our top priority, specifically with groups who would not normally access the talking therapy support we provide. This campaign confidently tackles the challenges that local people face with a range of innovative techniques and will focus on our main priority which is ‘Making People Better’.
