What is Physiotherapy?

Often known as “Movement Specialists”, Physiotherapists are health care professionals focusing on improving the way you move and enhancing your quality of life.

We aim to prevent or reduce your pain and get you back to the things you love.

We do this by giving you the most suitable treatment for an injury or condition. Physiotherapy can help relieve your pain and get you moving again.

Who Can Be Treated With Physiotherapy?

Our physiotherapists can help people of all ages, from adolescents to the elderly, from all walks of life.

Our holistic approach allows us to understand your needs and limitations and create a specialised treatment that helps you lead a healthier, happier life.

This means we are able to help with any muscle, bone, joint or ligament problem you may have. This also includes issues such as continence and pregnancy-related pain.

Just some of the problems our physiotherapists treat...

Lower & upper back pain
Neck & Shoulder pain
Knee, ankle & foot pain
Arthritis pain
Repetitive strain injuries (RSI)
Muscle tears
Tennis/golfer elbow
Tendon & ligament problems
Whiplash injuries

How Can Physiotherapy Benefit You?

We have an experienced team of physiotherapists who are trained to find out the causes of joint, muscle and nerve injuries, assess your symptoms and create an individualised plan to get you back to your full potential.

You don’t have to wait until you have an injury to come to physiotherapy. Our therapists can also help you to prevent injuries before they occur.

During your assessment, we will ask you lots of questions about why you came to see us.

We’ll get you up and doing some basic movements, we’ll check the muscles and joints nearby and investigate the movements you are struggling with.

The treatment you receive will include a thorough explanation and advice around your condition based on our assessment findings. It will likely also include some “hands on treatment” which is often massage or movement of a joint.

You will also be given some homework – exercises to complete at home which will help to improve your movement and keep you feeling better. These will be individually chosen for you based on your goals, equipment, and time available.

Our experienced physios can you with a range of treatments that use several techniques designed to:

  • Relieve your pain
  • Restore your movement, and
  • Prevent any further problems

Our team are experts in diagnosing and treating injuries and will provide you with easy to understand and helpful advice.

If you’re in pain or have an injury and not sure what to do, then call us or book an appointment online – we usually have same day availability if you need urgent assistance.
