Tuen (James) graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a masters degree
in Physiotherapy 2020 after graduating as a Sports therapist at the
University of Central Lancashire.
During his studies, and continuing into his professional work, Tuen has always been
passionate about musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy. Tuen has a variety of
experience within this field in both the UK and Hong Kong. He has worked
with different sports teams as a sport therapist, including a UK rugby team and an
elite basketball team in Hong Kong. He has also worked in a private clinic in Warwickshire treating lots of runners and triathletes.
Tuen has also worked in the NHS as a physiotherapy student, while studying for his masters degree in Sheffield. He worked in an orthopaedic department, fracture clinic, post-surgery rehab and hydrotherapy. These placements have helped Tuen to develop experience and understanding of a variety of injuries and conditions.
Tuen believes everyone, deserves the right to pain-free peak performance throughout life, and that process can be positive, fun and enjoyable. His approach is built on getting to know his clients as the individual they are to create a tailored treatment plan to suit them, helping increase confidence and self-management with education along the way.
Outside work Tuen is interested in running, particularly trail running. He also enjoys
hiking and going to the gym in his free time. Tuen is originally from Hong Kong, he has
been in the UK for 7 years, and can fluently speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
